April 10th is the official anniversary day of Windows 96. The OS is currently 2 years old as of last anniversary.
2020
Nothing special occurred during 2020, mainly due to the 2020 pandemic and lack of motivation during such crippling times.
2021
A special anniversary welcome screen was added during the anniversary, which included numerous apps, features, and bug fixes.
