Remote Console was first introduced in [[Windows 96 Lite]], and kept in the release of [[Windows 96 v3]]. Despite being in Lite, which was a separate light-weight version of V2 which had early V3 features, it was never included in the regular version of [[Windows 96 v2|v2]]. However, the regular version was required, as the Lite version did not come with SuperTerm.
