April 10th is the official anniversary day of Windows 96. The OS is currently 4 years old as of last anniversary.

== 2020 ==
Nothing special occurred during 2020, mainly due to the 2020 pandemic and lack of motivation during such crippling times.

== 2021 ==

A special anniversary welcome screen was added during the anniversary, which included numerous apps, features, and bug fixes.

An open sourcing of Windows 96 was (and still is to some extent) planned, but this was delayed indefinitely.

== 2022 ==
V3 was initially planned to be released on the third anniversary of Windows 96. This didn't happen due to a multitude of development roadblocks.

Instead, an anarchy Minecraft server event was held in the Windows 96 Discord, where a player could win a prize for the best looking base.

== 2023 ==
There are things planned for April 10, 2023. Proof of this is shown in a [https://discord.com/channels/619868741395546117/1028729716414349363/1086360616991735979 message] [[ctrlz]] sent in the [[Discord server|discord]].

The bug report tool is a utility which allows users to submit bug reports to [[Sys36]]. It can be found on the desktop of a typical Windows 96 installation, or in the Start Menu (Start > Programs > Utility > Report Bug).

== Abuse of service ==
The bug reporter has suffered from spam, bogus reports, etc numerous times.

This has been a long standing problem, but solutions to combat these issues are actively being developed.

While [[Windows 96 v3]] featured a lot of improvements, some stuff was also cut from the release. This article will cover these things.

=== Bell ===
Bell is the successor to [[P3]], which had some hype and interest around it in the first ~4 months of 2022, but after its API mysteriously disappeared from the [[Windows 96 V3 Beta|V3 private beta]], nobody heard of it ever again.

Turns out, even after all this time, bell still isn't ready for production. Bell will probably release in a future service pack for [[Windows 96 v3]].

=== 96Hub ===
96Hub was an application with some information around [[Windows 96]], but after this wiki was made, it was deemed useless.

[[Ctrlz]] doesn't care much about 96Hub and he released the source code [https://discord.com/channels/619868741395546117/931861855427764274/985742035413786634 here] (link is broken because the Windows96 discord server was purged)

fileNet was a public file sharing software. It either used p3 or bell.
